Ethernet – CPL G3 router – WebdynGrid

The WebdynGRID platform is a router dedicated to Power Line Carrier (PLC) networks and whose main function is to transfer IP packets between an Ethernet network and a PLC-G3 network, particularly in the new Smart Grid architectures.

QUICK ACCESS : OPERATION - INSTALLATION - ARCHITECTURE - STRENGTHS

OPERATION

- Communication by Power Line Carrier over the low-voltage electrical network with all the PLC-G3 elements connected to this network
- One of the routers of each PAN G3 must be designated (local configuration) as the G3 network coordinator
- LINUX core
- IPv4 / IPv6 communication

INSTALLATION

- Installation inside a service box of the electrical power distribution network
-  Configuration via embedded web server and html pages through the local Ethernet port
- Automatic configuring of the PAN via the IPV6 protocols and the physical PLC-G3 layers

ARCHITECTURE

STRENGTHS

  • Technology compliant with "G3-PLC Alliance" specifications

  • Low cost

  • Embedded power supply

  • Compact

APPLICATIONS

  • Town management (lighting columns, electric car recharging terminals, ...)

  • Backbone of an IP network via a low-voltage network

  • Adaptable to the Smart Metering data concentrators (remote meter reading)

BENEFITS

  •  Core of Smart Grid networks

  • Seamless end-to-end IP network
